Smash Match

Find a us on the hot new dating app “Smash Match” on Apple App Store and Google Play!

This is not the traditional dating app, which is why we partnered with the company. The Smash Match app is a flexible platform that allows people to find exactly what they’re looking for, with great or minimal specificity, either as a friend, lover, or “other” without judgment.

Modern-Gen Dating

There are many dating apps out there, all completely riddled with fake accounts, catfish, stolen photos, and those just purely seeking Instagram followers with no genuine intent of dating a swiped match. The people at Smash Match don’t operate that way. Smash Match is a classified ad-style app. Think of it as a classy version of the now defunct Craigslist Personals Section.

99.9% Fake Free

Smash Match requires a paid account of $1.00 per year. Right off the bat, 99% of spam and fake accounts are weeded out. The company does track accounts that have been set up but are not members as they failed to complete the final step, which is the $1.00 annual fee. We asked about the metrics relating to those incomplete accounts and received a generalized response that of thousands upon thousands of accounts, the unpaid accounts were primarily from app users in India and throughout Africa using gmail and hotmail email address extensions with no funding source (Apple Pay or Google Wallet.)

The stated goal of the Smash Match company is not to have millions of users, but rather tens of thousands of users that are real. Of course, the random catfish that will create a paid account might exist, but they are normally dealt with swiftly, and are prevented from creating new accounts using their Apple ID or Google Play Store account, one of which is required for sign up.

Special or General Interest

Smash Match has various areas of interest, with very particular sections where people using the app can create posts related to those interests. For instance, a single person looking for traditional dating can post a personal ad, which Smash Match calls a “Smashified Ad,” and wait for replies from other members. Conversely, a couple that consists of a straight male and bi female, that is looking for a bi female, would post their ad in a section that already exists for that area of interest. There are plenty of “less smashy” options that can be of benefit on Smash Match.

There are various sections with subcategories, such as Groups, Singles, Lifestyle, Kinks, and others. Groups has subcategories including simple things like coffee dates and other “less smashy” areas.

Smash Match has no position regarding seeking adult content creators, as very few rules apply when posting ads on their platform. However, we have noted a few rules that are of special note. Breaking any of their rules comes with harsh consequences, enacted quickly, and they appear to be very unwavering in their final decisions. User reporting is available, such as reporting a violator or inappropriate message or post, but the app is “heavily moderated” according to the company.

  • Smash Match does not allow nudity in their postings. According to response to questions we asked of their support, the first offense of this violation normally results in removal of the photo, while a second occurrence results in a 30-day ban and removal of all personal ads.
  • Miscategorizing an ad is a big “no no” on Smash Match. Apparently, they went through the trouble to create subcategories that include trans categories, and left it up to the poster to simply select their trans category or just “other.” There are long lists of gender selections to post as, and also to select as what you’re seeking. In answers to our questions, the first offense of this may result in reacceptance of their terms and conditions, along with their staff assigning the proper category to your post. Repeated violations of the terms and conditions can result in a short or long term ban.
  • Users are not allowed to post their contact information in a post. While there is no “mask” assigned to the field that prevents a user from posting their email, phone number, etc., rest assured, it gets caught… quickly. This is considered a “direct and purposeful violation of the terms and conditions” Smash Match staff said, and is met with an immediate ban. When asked what is the point if people are trying to meet someone, the company stated that all contact information should be sent in private messages rather than posting publicly, for safety reasons.
  • Instagram and Facebook appear to not be welcome on the app. Tinder, Bumble, and other apps are riddled with “basics” just looking for more followers. Smash Match has a strict policy that no reference to “Insta”, “IG”, etc., are allowed in a posting or private message. The company is aiming to provoke real human connections with their app, and is inflexible regarding using their app for the purpose of misleading people. Their position regarding these behaviors is that if you are coming to a dating app for Instagram followers, you are “brand building” and not dating/smashing, and that action is not supported on their app. Companies, such as Cam702, may post as a company or “brand” but must follow strict guidelines regarding what can and cannot be posted. Similar to posting contact information, an immediate ban is placed on the violator of posting an ad or sending a private message including anything about Instagram or Facebook.
  • Bans can only be lifted by contacting the support team. The banned user must submit a request that the ban be removed by stating assurances that they have yet again accept the terms and conditions of the platform.

The Smash Match app uses Apple ID and/or Google Play Store to distribute the app. The app allows access only to individuals that have accounts with Apple or Google, which means a fully verified account, and all billing occurs through the respective app store. Individuals who violate the Smash Match terms and conditions would have to create an entirely new Apple or Google account, update new billing information, and suffer through verification with those companies. So, violating Smash Match’s terms and conditions thinking there is just a work around, is a pretty bad idea. Their lock out system is pretty air tight.

Cam702.com is now an official partner with Smash Match. We are able to create posts for our upcoming events, opportunities for actors and actresses, and other posts. We are excited to start this journey with this great company.
